Who we are
MotorTake is a London-based vehicle buying service. Our contact email is info@motortake.co.uk.
What data we collect
When you request a valuation or send us a message we may collect:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your vehicle registration number and details
- Your postcode
- Any additional information you choose to provide
When you use our free Tax Check or MOT History Check tools we look up the registration you enter against official DVLA and DVSA data. We do not store that registration beyond the current session.
How we use your data
We use the information you provide solely to:
- Prepare and deliver your vehicle valuation
- Arrange collection and payment if you accept an offer
- Respond to enquiries you send via our contact form
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data retention
We retain lead and enquiry data for up to 12 months for operational purposes, after which it is securely deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@motortake.co.uk and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We set two first-party cookies:
- Session cookie (PHPSESSID) — a temporary cookie that holds your valuation progress. It expires when you close your browser.
- Visitor cookie (mt_sid) — a 30-day cookie we use to count unique visits and understand which areas of the site are used most. It contains a random identifier and no personal information. It is used solely for internal site analytics and is never shared with third parties.
No advertising, retargeting or third-party tracking cookies are set. Our Google Fonts request is the only third-party resource loaded on the site.
Security
Your data is transmitted over HTTPS. Lead data is stored on our server and is not accessible to the public.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The current version is always available at this address.
